Summary/Abstract: This article is an analysis of the main theoretical landmarks of the multipolar world, as presented in the academic world by the theoreticians from Moscow, Aleksandr Dugin in particular. Denial of the actual type of sovereignty of states and the building of the model of multipolar world around the civilization model are other points of analysis while the main theoretic landmarks of the construction of this new type of world, basically a fundamental transformation of the current system of international relations, were translated in programmatic documents of the Russian state, in the security strategy and in military doctrine. The manner in which Russia is positioned in relation to the Western world has considerably changed in recent years. The nature and extent of these changes, the origins and their possible consequences are also subject of personal interpretation in this article.
