Overcoming barriers of the development of spin-offs in the context of academic entrepreneurship

Summary/Abstract: The goal of the article is to trace the barriers in the development and growth of spin-offs and to find possibilities for overcoming these barriers. These companies represent the main trend of academic entrepreneurship and the most effective forms of commercialization and technology transfer. The article presents the results of ten case studies of companies formed by the entrepreneurial initiatives of researchers.
