Summary/Abstract: Demographic changes cause an increase of interest in the process of ageing. The aim of this paper is to present and evaluate personal accounts offered to clients 60+. The paper consists of two parts. The first one describes aspect of ageing and demographic process. The second deals with the specific nature of personal accounts. The conclusions show that the ageing process of the population forces the development of products for this market segment. The needs of clients of this group may be a potential for the growth for the banking sector. Mutual contacts may be beneficial for both parties; for the banking sector it may be one of the significant areas of profit, for older people in addition to material benefit it can create incentives for the development and activity in the world of modern technology.
