The condition of households and consumers (60+) and market factors of their behaviour

Summary/Abstract: Demographic forecasts predict the growth in the number of elderly people in society. It is definitely worth getting interested in the specificity and meaning of this sector. Silver economy is a section of economy engaged in satisfying needs connected with population ageing. In this economy there should also be financial products and services dedicated to that group. In order to justify the creation of such an offer it is required to present the potential of elderly people. The aim of this paper is to present the condition of the elderly aged (60 +) by presenting income, expenditure, savings and household poverty of the retired people.
