Assessment of financial situation of technical universities in Poland between 2004-2011

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to evaluate the financial situation of public technical universities in Poland. The time frame of the analysis has been closed in the years 2004- -2011. The first part of the paper presents theoretical aspects related to the financing of higher education. The second part presents a financial analysis of statistical data for the years 2004- -2011 published by the Central Statistical Office. The analyzes found that during the period there were significant changes in the financial situation of public technical universities in Poland.
