The measurement of achievements of the EU projects implemented in public technical universities

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the measures used in assessing results of the EU projects in the public technical universities in Poland. In order to achieve this objective, methods of analyses of literature sources and statistical data available in the database KSI SIMIK 07-13 and surveys have been used. The article presents EU projects as an essential element in achieving objectives of public universities. Then, it discusses some aspects of the measurement of the achievements of universities in Poland. The last part of the text presents an analysis of primary data collected in the course of the survey on the management of EU projects for public technical universities in Poland. The respondents were managers of EU projects carried out in public technical universities in the 2007-2013 financial perspective. The analyzes identified key metrics used to measure achievements of the EU projects implemented in public technical universities in Poland.
