Summary/Abstract: Is not sufficient to know what to declaim it is as much important to know how to declaim. It is the problem of the style that implies the huge effort in identifying defining and classifying the rhetorical figures. From the oratory and the Greco-Roman poetry to the ornamental style, including the religious ones, in the Midle Ages, passing through the acute crisis imposed by the philosophers and the revolted Romantics, as well as in colleges through the old approach from the educational manuals, the rhetorical figures have been found interesting especially in the second part of the 20th century and the first decade of this century.
