Summary/Abstract: This paper sets out to identify shift in terms of paradigms and stereotypes of femininity in two chick lit novels. More specifically, the vacillation that the female characters in these two novels undergo in terms of self-location on the yuppie-housewife continuum constitutes the focus of this study.
