Summary/Abstract: The research focuses on reproductive health in advertisement discourse and its assumed ideological narratives about female genitalia and sexuality, which work beneath the seemingly gender-neutral surface forms. The paper bases its conclusions on the comparative analysis of toilet advertisements at food courts in a university campus in Toronto, Canada, and cafes frequented by youth in Novi Sad, Serbia. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data is informed by Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).
