Summary/Abstract: The present study investigates the established concept of biopolitics, comparing and contrasting it to Ferenc Fehér’s statement, according to which that which is missing from the story is precisely the biopolitics of health and sexuality – aspects that were not (in 2005, when Fehér published his article), rightly or wrongly, part of the political agenda of the post-communist world, neither as nodal points of the politics of freedom, nor as expressions of social issues. In this light the present study will propose and verify the hypothesis according to which the biopolitics of health/sexuality is more about poiesis and less about politics, in a context of contemporary concerns in respect of algosophia, which translates as: the body resists, the flesh yields.
