Postcommunist Slovakia and Renewal of Citizenship

Summary/Abstract: The paper diagnoses the difficulties of economic and political transformation of Slovakia as they are manifested in the measured levels of individual "citizen potentials". The typological procedures were applied on the 1993 survey database. The first typology is constructed according to the attitude to egualitarianism and authoritarianism. The second typology is based on takes the measures of attitudes to the three types principles of economic distribution - the capitalist, socialist and communist one. The situation in Slovakia is compared with the situation in Czechia.
