Summary/Abstract: Jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) includes, inter alia, disputes between states related to participation in the planning, aiding and execution of crimes against peace and crimes committed in international conflicts, and the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutes and delivers criminal sanctions against individuals as direct perpetrators of crimes committed in international and domestic conflicts. However, the task of a genocide researcher is supposed to use multidisciplinary scientific methods and to investigate, among other things, the roots, causes, intentions and proportions of the crimes committed. This paper attempts to shed some ling on issues that should be answered by those who research such crimes. Researchers who investigate crimes, particularly the crimes of genocide committed against Bosniac during the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina do not agree fully on the root or roots of that crime. This paper considers the issue of accountability for the crime of genocide against Bosniacs, emphasizing that the responsibility cannot rest with individual butchers and bureaucrats and the national culture that the planners, the instigators and the perpetrators originated from.
