Summary/Abstract: One of the most complex and most sensitive issues in the norm of the Bosnian language is the issue of the yat reflex. The fundamental rules were first made in the orthography of the Bosnian language in 1996 concerning the use of the yat reflex when making nouns out of verbs which begin with pre-, in words which consist of a vowel and the consonant r and in words which have been made out of the verbs teći and taći. The rules were somewhat modified in the Grammar of the Bosnian Language in 2000 and they were finalized in the Dictionary of the Bosnian Language in 2010. People have different opinions about this, so there are huge differences in practice when it comes to such examples. This paper deals particularly with these cases in legal texts in the Bosnian language which have been quite neglected in the process of research.
