Web Technologies Integration within the Economical Activities

Summary/Abstract: Knowledge, as intellectual capital, has become the main resource of an organization, and the process of knowledge discovery, acquisition and storage is a very important one. The next generation web is the vision of having background knowledge about the meaning of web sources stored in a machine-processable and –interpretable way. The area of economic sciences is highly dynamic area that currently already extensively uses the available Internet technologies. However, the shortcomings of the existing technology are that information finding and extraction as well as the interpretation of the information contained in the web sources is left to the human user. In this paper it is shown how the Web technologies can be used for next-generation economical information systems.
