The Perception of Traditional Calendar among the Kyrgyz Nomads

Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on traditional calendar of Kyrgyz nomads. Because, this traditional calendar has some differences from calendars of other Turkic rooted nations since it mainly created basing on game animals, and the period of hunting. Within this context, there particularly emphasizes the role of nomadic way of life of Kyrgyz people in the formation of the months names and the calendar itself. There also put forwarded numerous of samples that exemplifies close relationship of nomads with environment and their strong harmony with the nature.
