INFORMATION MANAGEMENT COVERAGE AND CONJUGATIONS

Summary/Abstract: Four decades have passed since the emergence of information management as a research field, but even now it is lack of its unifying theory. Various scientific and practical looking estimating particular aspects conditioned by the situation, have predetermined the variety of the contextual information management problem research and have caused the drawback of one-sided information management conception. However, the formation of this conception is burdened by a number of new disciplines concerning information problems generating alongside: documents management, records management, knowledge management, information resource management. The aim of this article is to synthesize the variety of approaches and put into shape information management development background. For this purpose in this article is present the complete-disclosing the essence and constituents – information management conception and estimate its links with other new information disciplines.
