The effects of communication technologies upon globalization

Summary/Abstract: The concept of globalization was brought into the public attention in the 60’s by the Japanese politicians. In the 80’s, globalization was more and more used and starting the 21st century, it broadened to a much wider sense regarding the evolution of society. Even though it is an economic term, globalization is used in every society’s domain. Considering that globalization is structured on economic connections and interrelations, we can admit that from the communication’s point of view stands out the phenomenon’s complexity and dynamics. In this competition for energetic resources, as a pillar of information, the confrontation’s space expands even in the cosmic dimension.
