The Role of Mediation in the Crisis Management at the International level

Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on mediation as a mean of minimizing the potential violent consequences of international crises. In the first part we are discussing a few issues regarding the best way of defining crises and especially international crisis. In the second part of our study we are trying to answer two questions about international crises: Are mediated crises more likely to be solved in a way that is acceptable for all confliction parts than unmediated crises? What type of mediation is proven to be the best way out of an international crisis?
