Summary/Abstract: In real conditions a great majority of machine parts are subject to cyclic loading. There is no possibility to improve their quality and durability not knowing working conditions and materials’ features. During cyclic loading stresses can go beyond proportionality limits. It causes residual stresses which reduce durability of elements to a limited number of loading cycles. Such loading is called low cycle loading. This work presents analytical research on cyclic elastic plastic stress strain curve approximation methods by the use of materials main cyclic characteristics. It also includes comparison of theoretical and analytical data.
