Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss the phenomena indicated by S. Słoński to as linguistic mistakes in the context of normative changes that occurred at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. Consideration of transformations within the lexical system as well as tracking specified qualifiers with regard to their accuracy and non-accuracy are based on the comparison between the exemplary material excerpted from Słownik polskich błędów językowych and the material included in the largest 20th century Słownik języka polskiego which is only several years younger and whose erudite nature was by all means influenced by linguistic and moral excellence of its chief editor – Prof. W. Doroszewski.
