Summary/Abstract: The aim of the issue is to inform about the newest Slovakian programmatic intentions concerning the research in the occupational safety and health agenda. Within the intentions we go out from the commitments being placed in the document The Concept of occupational safety and health in the Slovak republic for years 2008-2012 (the document was adopted by the Slovak government in February 2008). The text is sorted out into two parts. Within the first one is conceptualised the occupational safety and health research as an important research agenda. There is short information about The Institute for Labour and Family Research as a key subject for conducting this type of research in Slovakia. We offer a basic information about the integrated knowledge translation model as a basic model for cooperation of various OSH - stakeholders within the holistic OSH - system in Slovakia. The second part of the issue is focused on some programmatic intentions in OSH - research for coming time. There are pointed out the principles and methodological starting points, factual and legal starting points and structure of the research in this field.
