ROP for lublin voivodeship in regional development

Summary/Abstract: Public authorities affect the spatial structure of socio-economic phenomena, often in order to stimulate the development of economically peripheral areas. Regional operational programmes (ROPs) are the current tool for such stimulation. However, in the ROP for Lublin voivodeship, very minor funds have been allocated to peripheral areas, partly for the creation of facilities not related to the socio-economic development. The reason for this is the need for beneficiaries to share the expenses. As a result, it seems that the execution of the ROP for Lublin voivodeship will not cause the reduction of intra-regional development disparities.
