Structural changes of the agriculture of the duoregion of Pomerania

Summary/Abstract: The research goal was the determination of the tendency and directions of structural changes of agriculture of the duoregion of Pomerania (Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodeships). The methods of descriptive statistics and structural analysis are applied in research. The objects of research were data from FADN database and data of Central Statistical Office for 2005 and 2011. The research concerned such issues as: tendencies and directions of changes of agricultural farm, economic effectiveness of business activity of farms, including the income of extra charges. Based on research results a general trend consisting in the resignation of agricultural farm of mixed type from the leadership of animal husbandry has been stated, owing to which there is an increase of participation of farms dealing with field cultivation. In comparison with 2004 the profitability of duoregion farms improved considerably. The level of these changes for both voivodeships is similar, just as the size of financial aid intended to subsidies to the agricultural activity.
