The development of local labour markets on the example West Pomeranian voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is the presentation of the results study on the development of local labour markets in West Pomeranian voivodeship. It is stated that the labour market of the region is diversified by territory. The most favourable situation on the labor market is in the region’s major cities − Szczecin, Koszalin and coastal areas − the districts of Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście. The difference is also noticed in the effectiveness of individual local government units in the absorption of EU funds allocated for the development of human resources. In the summary, the situation on the local labour markets is still not satisfactory and requires greater involvement of local authorities and other stakeholders in obtaining funds for the development of the labour market.
