Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to make a cross-cultural comparison on some pa¬rameters of occupational stress and work values in managers' groups from five countries: Bulgaria, Rumania, Ukraine, Great Britain and Japan. The theoretical framework of this comparison is based on C. Cooper's model of occupational stress and G. Hofstede's theory on work values. The results indicate significant differences between Bulgarian manag¬ers and those from other countries according to most of the occupational stress parameters and also to some dimensions of work values like: "individualism", "power distance" and "masculinity". These differences are caused mainly by some cultural peculiarities as well as by the changing social conditions in Bulgaria.
