Summary/Abstract: The economical crisis in Bulgaria becomes more deep. Its dependence on the social crisis and especially its psychological parameters are insufficiently discussed. The aim of the following study is to analyze the relation between pressure on the workplace, the sources of work stress that become more strong at the moment of crisis and the state of psychological and physical health of the employees. The sample consists of 117 subjects from different professional fields having a status of employees with secondary and higher education. Two methods adapted and modified by Russinova, V., Vasileva, L., and Zhilyova, S. are used in the study: a modified and adapted Bulgarian version of the Insel and Moos questionnaire on the components of social climate at the workplace and the questionnaires on the sources of stress and physical and psychological health from the Cooper’s Occupational Stress Indicator. The results received confirm the hypothesis about the strong relations between: 1. work pressure and physical and psychological health; 2. work pressure and subscales of the sources of occupational stress; 3. sources of stress and the rated worse psychological and physical health. A close relation is revealed between pressure on the workplace, the sources of occupational stress, psychological and physical health of the employees and the management style in the organizations.
