Summary/Abstract: The author presents the manuscript recently discovered and identified as belonging to the Hungarian poet Zajzoni Rab István (1832-1862), which, besides his poems of début from the period 1851-1853, comprises the journal of a travel in August 1851, too. Rab, then a pupil at the Saxon gymnasium at Braşov, travelled to Bucharest, in the company of two school mates. The journal relates the events of the journey, the young author's impressions, his praising of the Romanian capital.
