Summary/Abstract: This essay does not purport to offer any ultimate or undisputable scientific facts. On the contrary, its intention is to substantiate factographically and scientifically all the previous research into this field. The first attempt to establish the influence of Persian language and literature on the Bosniak diwan literature and thus present BiH writers and poets who wrote in that language, was initiated some forty years ago; the trend continued and in light of the fact that new data and names came to light, this essay is an important step in shedding light on the enigma first unravelled by Dejan Bogadanović exactly forty years ago. Systemic analysis of a number of sources established a list of Bosniak writers and poets who wrote in Persian. This list has been significantly expanded and enriched by new knowledge, wider than any such previous attempt.
