Summary/Abstract: The present paper addresses multilingualism in Castellón, Spain, where more than 40,000 Romanian live. In this region there are two official languages: Spanish - Castilian and Catalan. Also included are the mother tongues of immigrants in Castellon: Romanian, English, Chinese, Bulgarian, Arabic, French, English and Russian. Due to the rapid learning of Spanish and Catalan, Romanian immigrants in Spain have started to introduce words from the above mentioned languages in the communication in their mother tongue, sometimes adapting them to the morphological rules of the Romanian language. These aspects of contacts between languages, specific to multilingual communities will be subject to research.
