Summary/Abstract: Youth independence organizations, which were active after the World War II, were promoting their political programme in the leaflets they distributed. The leaflets revealed the truth about the Stalinist regime. The youth were trying to develop their own conception of how the international relations are going to evolve, which 9 with a stroke of luck 9 could lead to the collapse of the Soviet domination over Poland. At the same time, the young generation were aware that the Communists hardly had any social support and that they had forged the election results to legitimize their power. Also, the members of the youth independence movements touched upon a number of key problems of the totalitarian regime in Poland. These included, among others: terror by security apparatus, exploitation of the working class, collectivized agriculture or attempts at subduing the Catholic Church.
