European Union trade and global financial crisis

Summary/Abstract: The financial crisis that began in the United States, affected the economy of the European Union countries and had an impact on the international trade. The aim of this paper is to examine the changes in European Union trade during the global economic recession. The paper starts by reviewing the transmission of the financial crisis on international trade. Then the impact of the global recession on intra and extra European Union trade is analysed.
