International trade of high-tech products of European Union Eastern Enlargement countries in 2007–2012

Summary/Abstract: The importance of high-tech products in global trade, mostly export in developed countries, is rising. The aim of the paper is to present the role of high-tech products in the trade of EU Eastern Enlargement countries and to analyze the similarity of the export and import structure between EU states and third countries. In the most countries (except the Czech Republic and Hungary) export and import of high technology products is not an important part of their trade. The structure of high-tech export and import is not very stable and similar between analyzed countries in 2007–2012.
