Egyptian warships

Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present the evolution of warships in the ancient Egypt, from the early forms of a simple boat intended to navigate on the Nile to the warships used to keep control over the timber resources of the area and to expand Egypt’s geopolitical influence over the Red Sea region. Warships were also used to guard the Nile and the coastal area of the Mediterranean Sea, and in wars with enemies such as the sea people and so maintain Egyptian supremacy in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Near East.
