Summary/Abstract: The article deals with Sovereign Wealth Funds, the new type of institutional investors. The first part of the paper presents diversity of the market of Sovereign Wealth Funds. In the second part the author analyzes selected elements of investment activity of these staterun funds. The article concludes by presenting recommendation for further research.
