Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is, first and foremost, to demonstrate why arguments which are presented within the frames of discussion dominated by the orthodox economics used by ethicists for the recognition of the business social responsibility idea as important and needed regulator of the economic practice do not bear expected fruit. The explanation of this matter requires the reconstruction of modernist philosophic foundations of the official orthodox character of the discourse. Secondly, my intention is to demonstrate an alternative conception referring to nonclassical, constructivist model of practising science. I also want to prove that only such an approach creates the possibility of establishing positive conditions needed for the development of the economic ethics and especially the business responsibility idea.
