Tourism in slovakia in the context of development in Europe

Summary/Abstract: In the proces of evaluating tourism development in Slovakia it is necessary to consider the development of tourism in Europe and its prediction for the future. The current development of tourism in Slovakia was characterized by the consistently higher growth of accommodation facilities as demand for accommodation services. This development has significantly influenced the pressure on prices of accommodation. At the same time, the development of the last 22 years has been characterized by a decrease in the number of domestic guests of 50% and a gradual increase in the number of guests from abroad who compensate this decrease.
