TV-humor as a form of communication with the audience

Summary/Abstract: Humoristic television genre is the only real family genre. Other genres are more prone to materials that don’t have to be of explicit nature, but are more unstable contect-wise and precontext-wise, since, before anything, they follow cultural references that family audience may not follow, due to generation gaps. Stand-up and sketch comedy, by their origin, are intended to those who perceive jokes and humor as the ancient Greeks perceived orators, or how people in courts perceived jesters and fools, that is, with prejudice or pre-knowledge of what about it is to be said and performed. Since the audience is intentionally willing to expose themselves to that indoctrination such unique demagogy and retoric of the two genres can tell us about the inner attitude towards the comedian. Whether it is a mere entertainment, pastime or informative and cathartic effect of comedy, the comedian is supposed stir up an emotion. That is why, essentially speaking, sitcom a family comedy genre, because its task is to educate, but also prepare parents and children; that is why sketch comedy a series of events that are realistic, depending on the material, and can happen to any of us, and that is why, finally, stand-up comedy, perhaps the most and the least a comedy by itself, because whatever the comedian brings out can be funny only to those who embrace the comedian-speaker as such.
