Summary/Abstract: This paper approaches the issues pertaining to Christrian family values and marriage with a focus on St Basil’s canonical oeuvre. The sins that threaten the Christian family unity and moral integrity considered here are marriage itself, premarital intimacy, closely-consanguinious blood relative marriage, second marriage of the clery, third and forth marriage of laity, dissolution of marriage (divorce), incest and polygamy.
