Summary/Abstract: Thermal activation is the cause of the most damaging and considerable effects that temperature can have on the health of cultural goods. This study deals about the influence of the paper composition of old documents under the action of temperature. We observed that the stability to the action of the temperature on the paper-based documents is closely connected to the composition and the structure of the paper.
