Senility, Solitude. On Czesław Bednarczyk's "Opis wieczoru autorskiego" ("Description of the Poetry Reading")

Summary/Abstract: The interpretation concentrates on comparison of two poems – by Czesław Bednarczyk and by Tadeusz Różewicz – that describe poetry readings and meetings of the poets and their readers. In both cases the senility of the poet is being confronted with the curiosity of the young reader. Such confrontation leads to the feeling of solitude that is an inherent companion of senility.
