Summary/Abstract: We found the greatest concentration of monastic shelters in the north part of the Buzău department to 650-1100 m altitudes. A great number of cave settlements was discovered in Aluniş-Nucu-Fişici-Ruginoasa region(situated in the administrative area of Colţi, Bozioru, Brăieşti) but also in Cozieni, Cătina and Pietroasele some of them inhabited from the very ancient times and and others used as primitive basilica or hermit cells. The intention of digging in the stone its evident in some places that became, in time religious centre with a rich Christian activity. Regarding the spreading of the Christians to the east area of Carpathians Mountains the sources are not many and sometimes vague or contradictory. Anyway, we can know that was active in the region an early effort of Christian dissemination from the former Christian centuries. Later, after that the systematically activity of the Christian Church is raising in the East Roman Empire the number of the Christians and a better church life. All these activities was relied on roman empire and the status was preserved after its withdrawal in south of the Danube. On the beginning of the Christian dissemination to the north of the down Danube (Dobroudja), seem in formations told us about the diffusion of the new religion from the very first century by Apostle Andrei. Its missionary activity was contested by some historians but it have to be noticed on the patristic sources.
