Summary/Abstract: This paper refers to the problem of application of the experiment in marketing research. The main goal of this article is to present the application possibilities of experimental research for the collection of knowledge about contemporary consumers. The article contains reflections on the research method in the context of the results of conducted research. The scopes of the experimental research were the respondents’ socially responsible attitudes and behaviours. Socially responsible consumption studies were designed using the Solomon four-group design.
