Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a new approach in measuring the respondents` opinions with the application of fuzzy sets. It characterizes the concept of a fuzzy set and a fuzzy number. On the ground of literature studies and the author`s own research the treatise presents selected methodological aspects regarding the construction of measurement tools for fuzzy measuring. The study also treats of chosen packages and functions in the R statistical program allowing for the analysis of measurement results using fuzzy numbers.
