Summary/Abstract: This study attempts to underline the moral-spiritual value of language and of the spoken word. The use of language can follow the moral becoming of someone, to a positive spiritual result or, on the contrary, by desacralization, manipulation and devaluation, it can ruin the destiny of an individual or of a society. The world was created by the divine Word and received ontological restoration by the embodied Word, the Man – the priest and the king of creation who progresses toward his Creator via personal prayer, which is a dialogue with God, and via the ecclesial prayer or community prayer, which is based on the Holy Liturgy. Becoming one with our Heavenly Father is an ineffable mystery that occurs at the end of the heist prayer, in silence, as tears are the proof of what happens deep down in the heart of the Christian man, to an even greater extent than words – “tools of this time” as Saint Isaac of Nineveh called them.
