Integrating Multimedia Resources into Music Education: a D.I.M.A. Experiment

Summary/Abstract: Integration of multimedia resources into education has prompted the exploration of possibilities provided by the on-line medium for optimization of the computerassisted education reflected in music instruction by creating some databases with formative visual and aural combining power. The D.I.M.A. program is a text, image, and sound recording anthology exploring the adapting possibilities of online means to music education by observing its specific requirements, and by presenting efficiently some information and studies relevant to education, which will facilitate the theoretical approach within the framework of music formative process.
