Summary/Abstract: In 1824, in Sibiu (Hermannstadt), a graphic with the title "Transylvanian-saxon national pyramid" was produced. It presents events from the history of the Transylvanian saxons from the immigration in the 12th to the 19th century and seemed to be widely spread in transylvanian saxon houses. It was prepared by bishop Daniel Georg Neugeboren on the occasion of the appointment of Johann Tartler as comes of the transylvanian saxons and realised by the bishops son, Carl Neugeboren. The contribution presents the context of the creation of the pyramid and reproduces the full text of the introductory booklet of the pyramid, an important document for the historical awareness of the transylvanian saxons in the early 19th century. The contribution contains four images, representing the four sides of the pyramid.
