Vocational Training Institution as a Learning Organisation: Problems and Landmarks for Change

Summary/Abstract: Lifelong learning and a learning organisation are the topicalities of today in the world of work and in the educational system as well. Still, practical implementation of a learning organisation model is rather slow and complicated. The purpose of the present article is to evaluate the main problematic issues of this model, specify the basic characteristics of an educational institution as a learning organisation and, having generalised theoretical and empirical experience, define the landmarks for vocational institution change. A learning organisation is a complicated and multiple phenomenon, demanding more interdisciplinary research.
