Summary/Abstract: Data mining is becoming a more and more popular way of processing data in business. Business processes generate tremendous data volumes that contain applicative knowledge describing business. If we are able to acquire this knowledge, we can reach the competitive advantage. Major producers of the software supporting business have among their products also data mining tools. This paper focuses on showing the data mining process and the implementation of the process in Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
