Chamy posły and zuchy doktory – remarks on depreciation

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to offer a new view on depreciation based on earlier positions which are shortly presented in the text. The author describes different points of view: categorial and systemic (Saloni), functional and stylistic (Jadacka, Łaziński), derivative (Laskowski), operational and systemic (Bobrowski, Bogusławski). The author bases mostly on the last two and he proposes to create a new masculine gender (m11) for nouns such as cham, łobuz. He also explains the change of the nominative form of a noun m1 into the form m11 (profesor – profesory) by the effect of so called status operation (characterised by Bobrowski but understood a bit differently by the author).
