Summary/Abstract: Globalisation is a complex issue and it has become the reigning phenomenon in almost all fields of human interests and endeavours; it is the principal mirror by which different strands about human development and standards are being measured in a most meaningful manner. In a glance today, one of the most significant areas that the issue of globalisation is touching and affecting the less-developed world is in the area of its cultural backgrounds. Hence, the thrust of this paper is to thematise in a critical and philosophical manner the multi-dimensional challenges, globalisation has on the cultural identities of Africa and Africans; and setting out the approach of sustaining the cultural exploits of the Africans.
